OUR HISTORY

Some of our notes from each season.

2020 Season Notes
  • Do to Covid, we need to cancel our season.

2019 Season Notes
  • We had 163 kids. (One of the biggest in the IBLA).
  • 59 of the kids were new to the program.
  • We had 9 teams, with 2 new Mini (1st and 2nd Grade) teams.
  • We played 101 games as a program and went 71 - 30.
  • We participated in 3 in season tournaments.
  • Our Minor Black won Rip the Duck A division championship 
  • Our Junior Blue team took the IBLA championship.
  • Our Mini team won Rip the Duck and  Boarder Wars.
  • Our 2 Mini and Minor Blue teams had an undefeated season and lost in the semi finals of the IBLA playoffs.
  • Our Mini Blue and Black team were regular season co-champions. 
  • We had 6 new coaches.... However we still need more.
  • We were able to host the Major A IBLA playoffs.

2018 Season Notes
  • We had 175 kids. (One of the biggest in the IBLA).
  • 60 of the kids were new to the program.
  • We had 10 teams, with 2 new Mini (1st and 2nd Grade) teams.
  • We played 129 games as a program and went 67 - 62.
  • We participated in 6 tournaments.
  • Our Junior Black team won the Tower.
  • Our Minor Black team won the Blizzard and Rip the Duck.
  • We had 7 new coaches.... However we still need more.
  • We were able to host the Minor B IBLA playoffs.
  • Our Mini Black team took the championship in the Silver Bracket.
  • Our Mini Blue team took the championship in the Bronze Bracket.
  • Jen Lang is our Volunteer of the Year.

2017 Season Notes
  • We had 227 kids.
  • We had 12 teams, with 2 new Mini (1st and 2nd Grade) teams.
  • We played 120 games as a program.
  • We participated in 6 tournaments.
  • We had 12 new coaches.... However we still need more.
  • We were able to host the Minor A and B IBLA playoffs.
  • Our Junior Black team took the championship in the Silver Brackets.
  • ​Joe McBride is our Volunteer of the Year.

​2016 Season Notes
  • We had 232 kids.
  • We had 12 teams, up from 11.
  • We played 152 games as a program.
  • We participated in 4 tournaments.
  • We had 12 new coaches.... However we still need more.
  • We were able to host the U15 B playoffs.
  • Our U9, U11, U13 and U15 Black team took the championship in the Silver Brackets.
  • James Lang is our Volunteer of the Year.

2015 Season Notes
  • We had 235 kids, which was up 40 from 2014.
  • We had 11 teams, up from 10.
  • We played 91 in level games (excluding the playoffs and tournaments)
  • In those 91 games, we went 42-46-3.
  • We also played an additional 31 out of level (some not so fun) games for a total of 122 games.
  • We participated in 2 tournaments.
  • We had 14 new coaches.... However we still need more.
  • We were able to host the U13 B playoffs with 26 games.
  • Our U13 Black team took the championship, while our U11 Green team made it to the championship.
  • Eliot Libner is our Volunteer of the Year.


2014 Season Notes
  • We had 191 kids this season.
  • 109 of the kids are new.
  • We have 10 teams.
  • We had 15 new coaches.
  • Mike Pastore is our Volunteer of the Year.

2013 Season Notes
  • We had 8 teams.
  • We are new to the Federation.
  • This is the first year as the Penguins.
  • Mike Pastore, Alan Schmidt and Ken Kiesler form the Penguins.
  • Ken Kiesler is the Volunteer of the Year.

2012 Season Notes
Lacrosse American runs a program in Palatine.
